In the early 1990's, BBC aired two programs based on Superman. The first was "Doomsday and Beyond". It was such a success that it fueled production of another show called "The Adventures of Superman."

In "Doomsday and Beyond", Superman meets his demise at the hands of the otherworldly "Doomsday" and the world must learn to cope in a world without Superman. Four new "Supermen" enter the scene and try to fill the void that is left behind. Are they really here to serve mankind or do some have ulterior motives?
